Janelle1Janelle Guthrie
Janelle Guthrie, APR, is the Communications Director for the Washington State Attorney General's Office. She manages the all-star team that is the Attorney General's Office Public Affairs unit, attends a lot of meetings and occasionally has the opportunity to fulfill her love of writing and working with the media.  She has worked in association, legislative, corporate and government public relations since graduating from Washington State University and is North Pacific District Chair and past president of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Outside of work, she enjoys going to drag races, rock concerts and sunny places, hanging out with friends and family.

Sarah1Sarah Lane
Sarah Lane is a Communications Consultant/Web Manager for the Washington State Attorney General's Office, based out of Olympia.   Sarah recently received a Masters of Communication in Digital Media from the University of Washington.  As the webmaster, internal communications manager and social media specialist she has helped bring the AGO's communication into the 21st century.

When she isn't on Facebook or twitter, she spends her free time attending her four step children's sporting events and school concerts.  As Husky football and basketball season ticket holders, Sarah and her husband Greg are on the UW campus frequently from September to February.

Scott1Scott Peterson
Scott Peterson is a Communications Consultant for the Attorney General’s Office, based out of Olympia.  A 2005 graphic design graduate from Pacific Lutheran University, the majority of Scott’s tasks at the AGO are visually driven.  These projects include, but aren’t limited to, the design of AGO publications including reports and brochures, development and implementation of logos and graphics for office initiatives and ensuring graphic cohesion of AGO collateral.  Aside from design, Scott also assists the public affairs team in writing newsletter articles and blog posts.

An avid sports fan, Scott can always be found with his wife Kezia at any stadium, gym or field, or watching a big game.  In the fall Scott also roams the sidelines at Pacific Lutheran as part of the Lutes football coaching staff.

Dan1Dan Sytman
Dan Sytman has more than 16 years of success in broadcast media and communications. In 1994, he began as a talk show producer at Seattle’s top-rated KVI Radio. He was associate producer for KOMO-TV Seattle’s long-running “Town Meeting” program. He produced the nationally syndicated Michael Medved Show. From 2005 to 2007, he co-hosted “Sytman and Boze” on KTTH Radio in Seattle. Dan was hired by Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna in May of 2008, where he serves as Media Relations Manager.

Since he still lives in the Seattle-area and commutes to Olympia, Dan can frequently be found driving up and down the I-5 corridor, consuming mass quantities of podcasts and coffee.

PatrickPatrick Paterson
Patrick Paterson is a Public Affairs intern for the Attorney General’s Office. He is currently a rising senior at Claremont McKenna College in California, studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics, which, despite the way it sounds, is actually just one major. After earning his bachelor’s degree, he plans to attend law school and eventually to work in public interest law. Outside of work and school, Patrick enjoys film, sports, and literature.
