Welcome to the Washington Attorney General’s “Unredacted” open government resource page. Open, accountable and transparent government is a top priority for Attorney General Rob McKenna. To assist in promoting public access to government, he created a new position in the Attorney General’s Office called Open Government Ombudsman. Assistant Attorney General Tim Ford currently serves as the ombudsman and helps Washington citizens and government agencies with Public Records Act and Open Public Meetings Act compliance.
Here you will find information about public records and open public meetings. The Open Government Ombudsman will share questions he is frequently asked and will provide his informal written analysis.
