Legislative Transparency

In an effort to promote increased awareness of the work of the Legislature and to encourage regular people to provide input on the legislative process, State Auditor Brian Sonntag and I offer our support to the Washington Policy Center’s constitutional transparency amendment.  It is the government’s public responsibility to maintain an open and accountable system.  The reforms that the WPC proposes will address common complaints about the level of access the public received last session as the Legislature considered several important bills.
