In case you missed it, Q13 TV and other media outlets announced an important campaign yesterday:Crimestoppers

A new push is on in Pierce and King counties to protect seniors and arrest the people who hurt or steal from them.  Det. Ed Troyer with Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County joined Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound to unveil a billboard Monday morning on South 38th street with a photo showing the bruises on an elderly man abused in an adult family home with words, "Abuse/Theft Is it happening to you? To a senior you know?

The "Don't Remain Silent" campaign urges people to call in anonymously to 1-800-222-TIPS if they know someone is being violent with a senior or stealing from them.

We've posted more information on our Vulnerable Adult Abuse information page
