2011
Congratulations to Cheney High School students, who clung to pole position for two days during the national LifeSmarts championship before ultimately taking eighth place out of 33 teams. The Cheney team included Jacob Mager, Nash Springberry, James Berchers, David Leong and Solomon Springberry. They were coached by teacher Karyln Urdahl and mentored by Wency Offril of the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.

Cheney High School represented Washington state at the 2010 National LifeSmarts Competition.
2009
Congratulations to Kittitas High School for a second place win in the LifeSmarts competition hosted by the National Consumers League! The team of consumer-savvy teens answered questions related to finance, technology, consumer rights, health and safety posed by our state's own Consumerman Herb Weisbaum. These smart students competed against schools from 30 states to make it to the finals where they faced off against the new champs from Wisconsin.

Liberty High School represented Washington state at the 2008 National LifeSmarts Competition.
2007
Ellensburg High School represented Washington state at the 2008 National LifeSmarts Competition.
2006
Ellensburg High School represented the state of Washington at the 2006 National LifeSmarts Competition, finishing in second place. Players included, Mandy Jordan (captain), Jeff Jorgenson, Colin Pickett, and Haylee Morse-Miller.
