Louise M. Ryan, MPA, Washington Long-Term Care Ombudsman

Louise M. Ryan, MPA, is the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman for Washington State.  She is responsible for the statewide LTC Ombudsman Program, all its staff and contractors including a corps of four hundred certified volunteer ombudsmen.  Other primary duties include establishing policy and systems advocacy efforts by working with state agencies and with the Legislature in drafting and seeking sponsorship for legislation improving the quality of care/life for residents.  After having served as the Assistant State LTC Ombudsman for nine years, Ms. Ryan also serves on the Board of Directors of the Washington Pioneer Network, as an Advisory Council member to Resident Councils of Washington.
