SPOKANE—A Spokane jury today decided in favor of Attorney General Rob McKenna’s petition to send convicted rapist Kevin Coe to the state’s Special Commitment Center at McNeil Island.
SPOKANE – They called themselves “United Home Savers” and pledged to help homeowners facing foreclosure. But the Attorney General’s Office says a Florida-based business and its owners actually preyed on Washington residents.
Loan servicers and housing counselors offer help for borrowers SEATAC – Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna will join housing counselors and loan servicers at a free workshop Saturday geared at helping homeowners find solutions to their mortgage problems.
OLYMPIA -- Attorney General McKenna today announced a new effort to help extinguish minors’ access to cigarettes. Thanks to an agreement between McKenna, 46 other attorneys general, Shell Oil Products US and its joint venture Motiva Enterprises LLC, new procedures will be adopted to reduce the sales of cigarettes to minors at nearly 600 gas station convenience stores statewide.
OLYMPIA -- Attorney General McKenna today announced that he, along with 33 other attorneys general, reached a record $62 million settlement with Eli Lilly and Company concerning allegations that the company marketed its antipsychotic drug Zyprexa for unapproved uses. The settlement is the largest multistate consumer protection pharmaceutical settlement and follows closely on the heels of the states’ $58 million agreement with Merck in May 2008 regarding its product Vioxx.
SEATTLE--Attorney General Rob McKenna Monday announced a landmark settlement brokered by  Washington  and other states requiring sub-prime lender Countrywide Financial Corp. to provide loan modifications for as many as 395,000 borrowers nationwide. As a result, nearly 10,000 Washington homeowners will receive about $200 million in payment relief.
