JUSTICE OF PEACE - POLICE JUDGE - APPOINTMENT NOT CONTRACT
JUSTICE OF PEACE ‑- POLICE JUDGE ‑- APPOINTMENT NOT CONTRACT. The elected justice of the peace in a city of the third class over 5,000 population must be appointed police judge, and the fact that his wife is a member of the city council is not such a disability that will bar his appointment.

JUDGES ‑- JUSTICE OF PEACE ‑- MUST ACCEPT APPOINTMENT AS POLICE JUDGE. The one elected justice of the peace in a city of the third class must accept the appointment as police judge as part of the duties of his office.

JUSTICE OF PEACE ‑- POWER TO REVOKE ORDER SUSPENDING FINE FOR VIOLATION OF GAME LAWS. POWER TO REVOKE JUDGMENT

 1. A justice of the peace may revoke an order suspending a fine for violation of game laws only upon proper petition made by the prosecuting attorney. 2. A justice of the peace cannot modify or revoke a final judgment assessing a fine for violation of the state game laws.
