MEDIA ADVISORY: McKenna to visit Cashmere and Leavenworth for Operation: Allied Against Meth

Olympia – Attorney General Rob McKenna will visit Cashmere High School on Thursday, and Cascade High School in Leavenworth on Friday as part of the on-going schedule of school visits in his “Operation:  Allied Against Meth” campaign.

 When: Thursday, March 29, 2007--Cashmere
9:45-10:45 a.m. speaking to students
Friday, March 30, 2007--Leavenworth
10:00-11:00 a.m. speaking to students   
 What: Operation:  Allied Against Meth presentation, featuring Attorney General Rob McKenna, a speaker from “Lead On America” of Snohomish County, and a 22-year-old former meth addict who shares her story about meth addiction and turning her life around.   
 Where: Cashmere High School, 329 Tigner Road, Cashmere 98815
 Cascade High School, 10190 Chumstick Hwy, Leavenworth 98826 

 McKenna launched the “Operation: Allied Against Meth” initiative in May 2005 with presentations to four high schools across the state in partnership with Lead On America and other community-based organizations.

Since then, McKenna has made presentations and distributed materials to more than 20,000 students from 25 different schools.
