MEDIA ADVISORY: McKenna to visit Spokane for Operation: Allied Against Meth

OLYMPIA – Attorney General Rob McKenna will visit Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane on Wednesday as part of the on-going schedule of school visits in his “Operation: Allied Against Meth" campaign.

 When:Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006
10:00 a.m. - 10:40 a.m. speaking to students
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. speaking to faculty and parents
 What:Operation: Allied Against Meth presentation, featuring Attorney General Rob McKenna, a speaker from “Lead On America” and a 21-year-old former meth addict who shares her story about meth addiction and turning her life around.
 Where:    Gonzaga Preparatory School, 1224 East Euclid Ave, Spokane 99207

McKenna launched the “Operation: Allied Against Meth” initiative in May 2005 with presentations to four high schools across the state in partnership with Lead On America and other community-based organizations.

Since then, McKenna has made presentations and distributed materials to more than 15,000 students from 25 different schools.
