60-second PSA 2: GUARD IT! Washington Events in Kent, Tacoma and Shoreline

PSA 1 SCRIPT:

ATTORNEY GENERAL ROB MCKENNA: Identity theft is on the rise. But there are things you can do to protect yourself. I'm Attorney General Rob McKenna inviting you to join me and experts from AARP and the Federal Trade Commission at a GUARD IT! Washington forum. We’ll show you how to protect yourself and what to do if you're already a victim. Plus, bring along your old bills and bank statements and have them shredded for free. You don't want an ID thief to find this personal information in your trash. So gather your sensitive papers, bring your questions, and join in the fight against identity theft!

ANNOUNCER: Attend a GUARD IT! Washington forum Tuesday night, August 14th, at the Southeast Seattle Senior Center or Thursday night, August 16th, at Everett Community College. The program is free and it begins at 6:30. But come early - shredding will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m. To register and learn about other events, go to guard-it-washington-dot-com or call AARP at 800-646-2283. That's 800-646-2283.

ROB: Together, we can make Washington a safer place.
