We’ve received quite a few calls and e-mails this week from consumers who received letters telling them they're entitled to a refund from a settlement. Many times, letters claiming you will receive money are scams. But this is the real deal. Nearly 30 million people were mailed packets from the U.S. District Court Settlement Administrator in Philadelphia, informing them they're entitled to a refund of fees charged when they used their Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club Card or ATM/debit card overseas. If you traveled abroad during the past decade and made purchases with a credit or debit card, you're probably eligible for a refund of $25 or more. For more info on the settlement, visit www.ccfsettlement.com.
