More free shredding events for those of you looking to safely dispose of sensitive documents:shred 4

  • SPOKANE: Friday, July 17, noon to 4 p.m.
    Washington Trust Bank Lincoln Heights Branch, 2415 E. 29th Ave. Shredding provided by DeVries Business Services. No charge for first two boxes or grocery bags of documents. Additional materials accepted for $5 per box/bag; money collected will be donated to a local charity. Info: (509) 353-3928.
  • REDMOND: Saturday, July 18, 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
    City of Redmond Maintenance Operation Center, 18120 NE 76th St. In cojunction with the city's Recycle and Collection Event. Shredding provided by Frontline Shredding. Up to five boxes or standard grocery bags of documents shredded for free. $5 for each additional box. No hanging folders, spiral binders or 3-ring binders. Info: www.redmond.gov
  • OLYMPIA: Saturday, July 25, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    WSECU, 400 Union Ave. S.E. Bring up to three boxes of papers. Donations of household cleaning and personal hygiene products will be collected to support a local charity.
  • SPOKANE: Saturday, July 25, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    WSECU, 4202 E. Sprague Ave. Bring up to three boxes of papers. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected to support local food banks.
