The P.I.'s "Boomer Consumer" writes about Saturday's big event:

It's a question I've been interested in for quite a while and haven't been able to find a good answer for. What do you do with medications that are expired or that you don't need anymore?

Take-back day drug events to help consumers safely dispose of expired or unused medications are being offered Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and other government, community, public health, and law enforcement organizations are sponsoring the events.

Consumers with unused or expired medications can check the DEA's website to find collection sites in their communities.

Among the organizations offering a collection site are the Seattle, Shoreline, Bellevue, Mercer Island, and Bothell Police departments.
