OLYMPIA – Attorney General Rob McKenna today announced the promotion of Assistant Attorney General Paige Dietrich to division chief for the Labor and
Personnel Division of the Office of the Attorney General.

Dietrich had been serving as acting section chief for the division since August 1 and previously worked for more than six years in the division providing advice and representation on labor and employment law– including representing clients before the Personnel Appeals Board, Personnel Resources Board, Public Employment Relations Board and the Thurston County Superior Court.

She was the designated division specialist on sexual harassment with expertise in public records law.

“Paige has an established record of hard work in the Attorney General's Office and service to people of Washington state," McKenna said. “Her expertise and tenure with the office give her the background and perspective to lead the Labor and Personnel team with confidence.”

Dietrich joined the AGO in 1995 as an assistant attorney general for the Department of Social and Health Services Division. Prior to that, she worked as a contract attorney for Foster and Associates in Seattle and as an intern for the Idaho Attorney General’s Office.

She received her BA in communications and advertising in 1987 from the University of Washington and her law degree from the University of Idaho in 1994. She was the Managing Editor for the Idaho Law Review from 1993 to 1994.
