OLYMPIA - March 3, 1999 - The state of Washington and two federal agencies have signed a legal agreement that will establish a court-enforceable, environmental-risk-based schedule for pumping liquid nuclear waste out of 29 single-shell tanks at Hanford.

SEATTLE - February 8, 1999 - The Attorney General's Office today filed a lawsuit against Sunscapes Travel, a Bellevue company which advertised widely over the Internet and specialized in Hawaiian vacations, for failing to deliver more than $67,000 in travel services.
SEATTLE - February 4, 1999 - Washington Attorney General Christine Gregoire and six other states filed suit today against two Florida travel companies, their owners, and “lifestyles of the rich and famous” pitchman Robin Leach, alleging they mislead unsuspecting consumers into believing they had won or were entitled to the vacation of their dreams.
OLYMPIA -- Attorney General Christine Gregoire has appointed Simon ffitch as the new chief of the Public Counsel Section. The section represents the state's telecommunications, gas, and energy customers before the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (WUTC), as well as the courts, the Legislature and other bodies.
Seattle - January 28, 1999 - Problems with the communications industry, including telecommunications and on-line services, topped the state Attorney General's 1998 list of consumer complaints.
December 23, 1998 - The Attorney General's Office has filed a petition with the U. S. Supreme Court appealing a Ninth Circuit ruling that awarded shellfish harvesting rights to Washington Indian Tribes.
December 11, 1998 - The state will receive nearly $400,000 in restitution and overpayments from two Tacoma dentists who were sentenced yesterday in Pierce County Superior Court for submitting false bills to the state's Medicaid program.
