OLYMPIA — Attorney General Bob Ferguson today issued the following statement after the Washington State Supreme Court declined to review a request to block Albertsons’ $4 billion dividend payment. An order temporarily blocking this payout will expire today as a result of the court’s order.
OLYMPIA — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced that he is partnering with Rep. David Hackney, D-Tukwila, on legislation to create an unwaivable warranty for used car purchases. Current Washington law affords consumers few consumer protections for used cars that break down shortly after purchase — often called “lemons” — compared to new car purchases. This disparity disproportionately impacts communities of color and working Washington families.

Ackerman pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree theft in October.
Attorney General Bob Ferguson today filed a federal lawsuit against Allure Esthetic, a major plastic surgery provider in Seattle, and its owner, Dr. Javad Sajan, for falsely and illegally inflating its ratings on online rating platforms such as Yelp and Google. The company intimidated patients into removing negative reviews, and ordered its employees to post fake positive reviews.

SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson partnered with the Federal Trade Commission and a bipartisan coalition of 12 attorneys general in a federal antitrust lawsuit against two of the largest pesticide manufacturers in the world over a conspiracy to shut out generic versions of their products. This scheme drives up costs for Washington farmers, and ultimately, food prices.
Attorney General Bob Ferguson today announced that Lakewood-based WGS Guns will pay 15,000 for intentionally violating Washington’s high-capacity magazine sales ban.
