OLYMPIA - June 18, 2001 - Ten anti-tobacco programs each received a $500 grant to expand their tobacco prevention efforts, Attorney General Christine Gregoire announced. Each grant is part of a $5,000 award Gregoire received in 2001 from the American Legacy Foundation for her leadership in the 1998 settlement against the nation's largest tobacco companies.

SPOKANE - May 23, 2001 - The Attorney General's Office today asked a court to order the HomeBase home-improvement stores in Washington to close their doors and halt further going-out-of-business sales in Washington after May 29.
Olympia - May 22, 2001 - Lacking a legislative resolution, Attorney General Christine Gregoire and Secretary of State Sam Reed today asked a federal judge to impose a temporary alternative to the state's unconstitutional blanket primary.
OLYMPIA -- Washington and 15 other states today filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Michigan alleging that four drug manufacturers illegally conspired to keep a cheaper, generic form of a widely prescribed heart medication off the market for at least a year.
OLYMPIA -- A former Whatcom County dairy farmer received a two-year suspended sentence May 3 for illegally dumping manure into a tributary of Anderson Creek, about 20 miles east of Bellingham.
