SEATTLE — Today, a King County judge ordered a Federal Way gun shop to stop selling unlawful high-capacity magazines. Attorney General Bob Ferguson proposed, and the Legislature adopted, a ban on the sale of high-capacity magazines last year.
OLYMPIA — A Spokane County Superior Court judge today sentenced former Spokane County worker Rhonda Sue Ackerman to serve prison time and repay  $1,378,541 in stolen public funds, following Attorney General Bob Ferguson’s prosecution of the case. Ackerman pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree theft in October.
Attorney General Bob Ferguson today filed a federal lawsuit against Allure Esthetic, a major plastic surgery provider in Seattle, and its owner, Dr. Javad Sajan, for falsely and illegally inflating its ratings on online rating platforms such as Yelp and Google. The company intimidated patients into removing negative reviews, and ordered its employees to post fake positive reviews.
OLYMPIA — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced that he is partnering with Rep. Mari Leavitt (D-University Place) on legislation to combat robocalls.
SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson partnered with the Federal Trade Commission and a bipartisan coalition of 12 attorneys general in a federal antitrust lawsuit against two of the largest pesticide manufacturers in the world over a conspiracy to shut out generic versions of their products. This scheme drives up costs for Washington farmers, and ultimately, food prices.

SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson filed a lawsuit today against Albertsons, Kroger and Rite Aid, whose pharmacy chains helped fuel Washington state’s opioid epidemic. Ferguson asserts the pharmacies served as the last line of defense in the opioid supply chain and failed in their collective responsibility to prevent the overuse of opioid prescriptions.
OLYMPIA — At a press event in Tukwila today, Attorney General Bob Ferguson and Gov. Jay Inslee announced they will jointly request two common-sense public safety measures for the upcoming legislative session. One renews the call for a ban the sale of military-style assault weapons. A second, new proposal will ensure that gun manufacturers and dealers — like other purveyors of dangerous goods — must take reasonable steps to prevent their products from getting into the hands of dangerous individuals.
SPOKANE — Today the Washington Attorney General announced the filing of charging documents in Spokane County Superior Court filing numerous felony charges against Paul Means and his business, Abilia Healthcare.
SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today that he signed onto a resolution with Walmart that will bring an estimated $62.6 million to Washington state. This resolution from Walmart will bring Washington state’s total recoveries to approximately $802 million to help fund opioid abatement and recovery programs. These resources must be used to combat the opioid epidemic.
