SEATTLE - October 23, 1998-The Attorney General's Office today announced the landmark settlement agreement in a multi-state lawsuit against a New Jersey corporation accused of “slamming” the long distance telephone service of consumers across the country.
SEATTLE - October 22, 1998 - The Attorney General's Office today filed the nation's first state “spamming” lawsuit against a Salem, Oregon business and its owner for using false and misleading information when sending unsolicited commercial e-mail to Washington residents.

Seattle - August 5, 1998 --The Attorney General's Office today filed a lawsuit and a Consent Decree against a San Diego company for allegedly producing misleading home mortgage and loan advertisements that resemble a solicitation from an official government agency.
SEATTLE - July 31, 1998 - The Attorney General's Office today took action against travel sellers in Yakima and Bellevue for allegedly failing to deliver the travel purchased and deceiving consumers about cancellation rights and refund policies.
