A county auditor is under no duty, as such, to make in the general index to record a marginal notation on a previously recorded real estate contract indicating the name, volume and page of an assignment of such contract.

The continental shelf lands in the area between the Pacific Ocean coast line of Washington state and the state's western boundary are subject to chapter 146, Laws of 1951, and the administration and enforcement of its provisions rest with the oil and gas conservation committee. 2. Federally-owned continental shelf land located west of the state's western boundary are not subject to chapter 146, Laws of 1951, and the oil and gas conservation committee has no duties or responsibilities regarding said lands.

The lieutenant governor of the state of Washington has no legal authority to act as presiding officer of the state senate nor to cast the deciding vote in the state senate during the period in which he is serving as acting governor.

It is the duty of a County Prosecuting Attorney to represent a school district in litigation.  It is not the duty of a County Prosecuting Attorney to represent a member of a school board in his capacity as trustee under a charitable trust wherein the school district is the beneficiary.  It is the duty of the County Prosecuting Attorney to represent a school district seeking to enforce a charitable trust wherein it is the beneficiary.  In an action to enforce a charitable trust, the Attorney General of the state of Washington is a proper party.  In a proceeding to enforce a charitable trust created for the benefit of a school district, in which the Attorney General is made a party, the venue need not be laid in Thurston County.
