Spokane area woman charged with $30K in Medicaid fraud
OLYMPIA— The Attorney General’s Office Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) has charged an Otis Orchards woman with one count of 1st degree theft and two counts of making a false statement to obtain a Medicaid payment.

Chanell Robin Flock was paid to provide medical care for multiple Medicaid recipients, but the state alleges she billed Medicaid nearly $30,000 for care not actually provided for three different recipients from January 2007 through October 2011.

The Washington State Medicaid Fraud Control Unit investigates and prosecutes fraud by health care providers. The unit also monitors complaints of resident abuse or neglect in Medicaid funded nursing homes, adult family homes and boarding homes providing valuable assistance to the local law enforcement in investigating and prosecuting crimes committed against vulnerable adults.
