 Penalties for repeat domestic abusers, restriction on child pornography among bills proposed by McKenna OLYMPIA – Five laws proposed by Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna during the 2010 Legislative Session become effective today.
OLYMPIA – Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna issued the following statement today regarding his determination not to appeal a decision of the Okanogan County Superior Court. After considering all of the arguments presented, the superior court ruled that the Okanogan Public Utility District has authority to acquire through condemnation an easement over school trust lands for a transmission line.
 OLYMPIA – A new law aimed at saving lives by encouraging people who witness drug overdoses to call 911 goes into effect Thursday. The “911 Good Samaritan” law provides immunity from drug possession charges to people who seek medical assistance in drug overdose situations.
Attorney General Rob McKenna and expert assistant attorneys general in his office this week will continue to fight the federal government’s attempt to permanently remove the nation’s only Congressionally-approved high-level nuclear waste repository from future consideration.
