Service of Garnishments

The Washington State Attorney General’s Office (AGO) authorizes service of garnishment documents on behalf of State of Washington agencies and colleges by e-mail to the following address only: garnservice@atg.wa.gov.

This authorization applies only to garnishments against employees of State of Washington agencies and colleges. If you are unsure if the defendant is a state employee, please refer to this listing before submitting your documents: https://ofm.wa.gov/sites/default/files/public/legacy/policy/75.20.htm.

You will receive confirmation upon receipt of your e-mail. Submissions received after 5:00 p.m. on any business day will be deemed served the following business day.

This authorization takes effect December 22, 2021 and remains in place until further notice. It may be amended or updated as circumstances require.
