Attorney General

To quote a “Frostyism” (Frosty Westering, Hall of Fame head football coach, PLU, 1972-2003) from my time playing and coaching at Pacific Lutheran University: “Today’s headlines are tomorrow’s floors of bathrooms.”

So as the papers and news broadcasts move away from the disaster and recovery efforts in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) is keeping the issue at the forefront.

Today, NAAG announced a $25,000 donation to the American Red Cross for disaster relief in Japan.

Washington, DC---The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) Mission Foundation today made a $25,000 donation in the name of the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (JBC) to the American Red Cross for disaster relief in Japan.  The JBC in Washington, D.C. has rented office space for six years from the Mission Foundation.

In addition to the Washington State AGO’s involvement with the NAAG donation, employees from AGO offices across the state have been opening their hearts, and pocketbooks.  The Washington State Combined Fund Drive’s “Hope for Japan” campaign kicked off on March 21 and continues through April 21, giving Washington’s state employees and retirees a secure place to donate to the recovery efforts in Japan.
