Pillars of Hope Button

Since he first took office in 2005, Rob McKenna has been active in the National Association of Attorneys General. He is currently serving as the President of the organization, and has launched a Presidential Initiative entitled Pillars of Hope: Attorneys General Unite Against Human Trafficking. The initiative seeks to end human trafficking, a modern form of slavery, by cooperation between the states and with the federal government through four pillars:

  1. Making the case against human trafficking
  2. Holding traffickers accountable for their actions
  3. Mobilizing communities to care for victims, and
  4. Promoting public awareness and issue advocay

Even before he assumed the Presidency, McKenna and his staff were deeply involved in NAAG's committees and initiatives. A few highlights of his contributions to NAAG include:
