Certain federal civil immigration enforcement actions may cause disruption to workplaces and communities and reduce community safety. Employers have rights and responsibilities related to interactions with federal officials conducting immigration enforcement activities. These materials are for employers and workers in Washington State, issued by the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, in accordance with RCW 49.97.
The Washington State Attorney General has authority to investigate and enforce the Immigrant Worker Protection Act (IWPA). Any person can email IWPA@atg.wa.gov to share questions and concerns, or to report potential violations by an employer.
