SEATTLE — A Michigan-based scammer that has been deceiving businesses for years was ordered to pay more than $8.2 million in penalties and consumer restitution following a lawsuit brought by the Washington State Attorney General’s Office.

Washington state files amicus brief in support of legal challenge to unlawful termination of Job Corps

SEATTLE — Attorney General Nick Brown today filed an amicus brief with the attorneys general from 21 other states in support of a proposed class of plaintiffs challenging the unlawful termination of Job Corps, a national program that offers career training and housing to young Americans from low-income backgrounds.

Washington state makes tribal warrants enforceable by state law enforcement agencies

SEATTLE — A new law takes effect today that will provide the legal framework for both state and tribal law enforcement agencies to certify tribal warrants as state warrants. The Attorney General’s Office will facilitate and document the certification status of tribes in Washington state for state law enforcement agencies and court officials.
