EVERETT — A Snohomish County jury ruled late Thursday that convicted multi-victim sex predator, Garth Snively, remains a sexually violent predator and must continue confinement at the Pierce County Secure Community Transition Facility on McNeil Island.

“The attorneys in the AG’s Sexually Violent Predator Unit help keep dangerous offenders such as Garth Snively confined,” said Attorney General Bob Ferguson. “These attorneys keep our communities safe.”

SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson joined a coalition of 15 states in filing a “friend of the court” brief Friday before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. OLYMPIA – Oct. 15, 2013 – A Seattle man pled guilty Monday  to stealing more than $30,000 in sales tax from August 2010 to October 2011.

Calvin D. Gilpin pled guilty Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, to one charge of theft in the first degree and nine counts of operating a business with a revoked license. Gilpin was charged in May 2013 by the Washington State Attorney General’s Office on behalf of the state Department of Revenue (Revenue).

Christensen admits beating, strangling stepfather in domestic violence dispute

FERRY COUNTY, WASH.– Morgan Eugene  Christensen pled guilty to second degree murder with a deadly weapon and first degree burglary Friday in Ferry County Superior Court. Christensen broke into the home of his mother and stepfather in October 2012 then beat his stepfather with a tire iron and strangled him to death. Both charges are Class A felonies with maximum penalties of life in prison and $50,000.

 SEATTLE - Today, the U.S. Department of Energy (USDOE) informed the Washington State Attorney General’s Office that the federal government is at substantial risk of failing to meet three more milestones ordered by the court in the 2010 Hanford Cleanup Consent Decree.

With today's notice, all deadlines set in the Consent Decree for the construction and operation of Hanford's Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) between now and 2022 appear to be at risk.
