Office reaches settlement with Bothell-based Harley Exteriors
SEATTLE – The Washington Attorney General’s Office continued its efforts to clear up alleged deceptive marketing practices among window selling businesses by reaching a settlement this week with Harley Exteriors, of Bothell.
SEATTLE – Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna is again reaching out to Chinese-American community leaders to help protect residents from fraud and unfair business practices.
McKenna, working with Chinese-American community leaders, will host a free public forum focused on consumer protection issues from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 29, at the Attorney General’s Seattle office, 800 5th Ave. Suite 2000.

Ceremony follows tough year for police and their families
OLYMPIA – The Washington state Law Enforcement Medal of Honor/Peace Officers’ Memorial ceremony will be held in Olympia on Friday.
Since 1854, more than 290 law enforcement officers have been killed in the line of duty in Washington state. In the last year alone, seven officers lost their lives. Several others were seriously injured.
ELLENSBURG – The Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) Friday charged Shellene D. Smith with Medicaid fraud. Two counts of First Degree Theft and seven counts of Medicaid False Statement were filed in Kittitas County Court.
According to charging documents, Smith knowingly received Medicaid payments and services for which she was legally ineligible. According to the AG’s Office, Smith illegally received over $29,000 in Medicaid payments and more than $24,000 in medical assistance.
