If you use Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, you need to download an important update ASAP! For only the second time in two years, Microsoft has released a critical patch to the Windows operating system before the normally scheduled monthly patch release cycle. Computer experts say that means the urgency is real.

The issue is MS08-067, described by the company as a “vulnerability” that could allow “remote code execution if an affected system received a specially crafted RPC request.” Ignoring the geek speak, this means hackers might be able to download harmful software onto your computer.
