MEDIA ADVISORY: AG’s “Operation: Allied Against Meth Task” Force holds second meeting, Sept. 29

OLYMPIA—Attorney General Rob McKenna‘s “Operation: Allied Against Meth” task force will hold its second meeting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, in the Senate Rules Room at the state Capitol.

McKenna will open the meeting with an update on the efforts of the Attorney General’s Office in addressing the state’s methamphetamine crisis over the last six weeks then the task force’s individual work groups will share the outcome of their subcommittee meetings and recommendations in the following areas:

• Demand reduction;
• Criminal sanctions; and
• Clean-up and governance.

The meeting will not be taped for TVW due to scheduling conflicts.

The task force is scheduled to convene three meetings, all of which are open to the public.
