The Internal Revenue Service and scores of its community partners will open their doors this Saturday, March 21, to help people who need free tax preparation, a question answered or a payment schedule arranged. The IRS Web site lists 65 sites in Washington that will be open from 9 to 2 to help prepare tax returns for individuals who earn $42,000 or less. Super Saturday also is an opportunity for people, regardless of income, who believe won't be able to pay. The IRS says it is committed to doing what it can to help financiall strapped taxpayers who have played by the rules, including setting up payment plans to prevent even greater penalties and interest.

The IRS customer service hotline, 1-800-829-1040, also will be open on Super Saturday from 9 to 2.
